Terms of use
Last updated: 12 September 2026
These terms govern access to hourwise.online and to any publication sold through it. Hourwise is the party responsible for the site. Use of the site indicates acceptance of these terms; where they are not acceptable, the remedy is to stop using the site.
Eligibility
The site is directed at an adult audience. Access and purchase are limited to persons aged 18 or over who have the legal capacity to enter into a contract. Accounts, purchases and correspondence originating from anyone below that age are not accepted.
Licence to use the material
Editorial articles published on this site may be read, printed for personal reference and quoted with attribution and a link to the source page. Purchased publications are licensed for personal, non-commercial use by the purchaser.
The licence does not extend to republication of substantial portions, resale, redistribution, public posting of a purchased file, sublicensing, or use of any material to train, fine-tune or evaluate a machine learning system. Automated scraping, systematic downloading and framing of the site within another interface are not permitted.
Intellectual property
Text, layout, stylesheets and the Hourwise name and wordmark are the property of Hourwise or are used with permission, and are protected under Brazilian Law 9.610/1998 and the corresponding law of other jurisdictions. Research described on this site belongs to the researchers and publishers who produced it; naming a study is attribution, not a claim of ownership, and no endorsement by any named researcher, institution or statistical agency is implied.
No professional relationship
Nothing published on this site or sold through it is financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, employment, medical or psychological advice. No professional, advisory or fiduciary relationship is created by reading the material, by purchasing a publication or by corresponding with the support address. The disclaimer forms part of these terms.
No claim of results
Hourwise publishes descriptive material about how working time and pay are measured. No outcome of any kind — financial, professional or personal — is promised, forecast or implied, and no publication is presented as a method, system, programme or set of steps intended to produce a result. Any decision taken after reading this material is the reader's own, taken at the reader's own risk.
Availability
The site is provided as it stands and as available. Continuous availability is not undertaken, and articles may be revised, corrected or withdrawn. Where a purchased publication is withdrawn, access already granted to a purchaser is preserved for a reasonable period.
Purchases, payment and disputes
- Prices and currency are stated at checkout. Taxes, duties and conversion or cross-border fees applied by a card issuer are the purchaser's responsibility.
- Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider under its own terms. Hourwise does not receive or store card numbers.
- A purchase becomes effective when the payment provider confirms it. Delivery is by email to the address supplied at checkout.
- Refunds are governed by the refund policy, which offers a 30-day period.
- Where a charge appears incorrect, the support address is the first route and is answered within the timeframes on the contact page. Raising a chargeback without contact does not remove the right to a refund, but it delays resolution and may suspend access to a purchased publication until the dispute closes.
- Access may be suspended where a transaction is fraudulent or where the licence above is breached.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hourwise is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, for loss of profit or opportunity, or for any decision taken on the basis of material published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including the rights of consumers under the Código de Defesa do Consumidor (Law 8.078/1990) and equivalent mandatory protections in a purchaser's country of residence.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised, and the date above records the current version. A purchase is governed by the version in force on the date of that purchase.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes are submitted to the courts of Brazil, without prejudice to the right of a consumer to bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence where the mandatory law of that country so provides.
